Guidi was originally a tannery business in Pescia, Italy and founded in 1896. Ruggero Guidi started the now famous shoe collection in 2004. The collection is the result of experimenting in washing and dying the leather as well as creating fully handmade original designs. The unique technique of “object dying” the finished shoe creates a solid color not attainable in traditional shoe making. Each pair of shoes is unique and entirely handcrafted with a perfect balance of centuries old artisanal traction and modern aesthetic.
