Toru Hatta Large Rim Plate with White Glaze. Handmade ceramic platter. Each piece is crafted by hand. Variations in coloration and markings are normal. 100% ceramic. Handmade in Japan.

STORY

Potter Toru Hatta was born in Kanazawa in 1977. Since graduating from the Architecture and Environmental department of Osaka Sangyo University in 2000, he has been producing and exhibiting his ceramic work in Japan. Although Hatta is produces pottery in a variety of styles he is best known for his work done using the decorative inlay technique Mishima, which had its origins in Korea. All items a handmade, very limited and one-of-a-kind pieces.
